How to Tie a Surgeon's Knot

Surgeon's knots are great for tying meat, like roasts and tenderloins, to help it cook evenly. Here's a simple way to tie a surgeon's knot.

Begin by making the first loop like you were tying a shoe, but don’t tighten. Then, make two more of these loops.

Now, pull the string firmly around meat. This holds the tension. Then secure with a simple knot.
