The soft, buttery texture of ripe avocado can make it difficult to work with. So dice it up while it's still in the skin, instead!
To quickly and easily dice avocado, first slice it in half lengthwise and remove the pit. Then, with a paring knife, make long slits the length of the avocado, being careful not to cut the skin. Turn the avocado and make small slits lengthwise, making a cube pattern.
Once your cuts are made, bend the skin of the avocado, turning the sliced flesh out. Simply push out the cubes or scoop them out with a spoon, discard the skin, and you're ready to proceed with your recipe.
