Preheat grill to medium-high.Brush grill grate with oil.

Grill zucchini, covered, until tender and grill marks appear, about 3 minutes per side; cool slightly, then coarsely chop.

Purée zucchini, chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, and garlic; season with salt and pepper.
