Oven Directions

Don't have an air fryer? Arrange carrots on a baking sheet coated with nonstick spray; bake at 425° until carrots are lightly browned, 16–20 minutes, rotating pan once. Glaze carrots as directed below.

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 380° according to manufacturer’s instructions; set cook time to 13 minutes. (Add 3–5 minutes for preheating if your air fryer doesn’t include preheat function.)

Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, ginger, paprika, onion salt, and black pepper; reserve 1 Tbsp for syrup mixture.

Place carrots and bacon in a bowl; toss with cornstarch mixture.

Coat air fryer basket or shelves with nonstick spray. Place carrots and bacon in a single layer in fryer basket or tray (depending on the capacity of your air fryer, you may need to air fry in batches). Lightly coat carrots with nonstick spray.

Air fry carrots and bacon for 8 minutes; toss and air fry until carrots are beginning to brown and bacon is crisp, 5 minutes more. Transfer carrot fries and bacon to a serving dish.

Whisk together remaining 1 Tbsp. cornstarch mixture and maple syrup in a microwave-safe dish; microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir syrup mixture, then drizzle over carrot fries and bacon, tossing to coat; top with parsley.
