Quickly Chop Dried Fruit with Kitchen Shears

Kitchen shears are a great tool for piercing stubborn packaging, but they also make short work of chopping dried fruit!

Quickly Chop Dried Fruit with Kitchen Shears

To quickly and easily chop dried apricots, pinch them one at a time between your fingers and carefully snip them into pieces. For this week's Apricot Spice Doodles, aim for pieces the size of pencil erasers.

Also, to keep the dried fruit from gumming up the shears, try periodically dusting the scissors with flour. The chopped bits of fruit won't stick to the shears, or to each other!
