How to Prep and Freeze Garlic for Easy Use

Always have fresh garlic on hand with this quick tip that cuts down on prep time and makes mincing a breeze.

When you buy garlic, immediately remove the papery skin from the cloves, then place the peeled cloves in a resealable freezer bag. When you need garlic for a recipe, shave frozen cloves with a rasp or Microplane (or mince with a knife, too). The already-peeled garlic saves on prep time and freezing it makes shaving a cinch.
