Preparing Avocados

Instead of trying to make diced avocado end up looking attractive, try this tip for getting it out of the skin intact.

Dicing avocados can be a pain. The pieces are never uniform, and if slightly overripe, they make a complete mess. So to make the task easier, use a melon baller to scoop out the avocado. It keeps you from mashing up the pieces too much, so they look great, and there’s much less mess on the cutting board. Plus, the pieces are perfectly bite-sized. This is especially useful for salads, where the end result looks attractive, but it also works well for guacamole.
