Freezing Herbs

Quit throwing away fresh herbs and get ahead on prep with this great storage tip that will save you money and time.

Recipes often call for only a few tablespoons of fresh herbs. Then the extra often go bad before getting used up. To avoid this, freeze herbs such as cilantro, tarragon, parsley, and sage (avoid freezing basil, it turns black). First spread chopped herbs on a plate and freeze the plate and all. Once frozen, transfer the herbs to a resealabale bag and return to freezer until needed.
