DIY Olive Oil Bottle

Protect your pricey olive oil from rancidity (and save some money) by recycling old wine bottles and making a DIY olive oil bottle.

Tips-DIY-Olive-Oil-Bottle

Since sunlight can cause oil to go rancid quickly, I transfer my cooking oils (olive, vegetable, canola, etc.) to dark-colored, empty wine bottles. Funnel oil into clean bottles, then use wine or soda stoppers to seal out air. The dark color helps protect oils from light. Plus, the different bottle shapes look great, and they’re easy to store and use.
