Basil isn’t a traditional herb in Mexican cooking, but it tastes terrific in this. Our Mango Guacamole recipe is perfect for eating with tortilla chips, or as a topping over tacos.
This guacamole can be prepared up to 1 hour ahead, but don't add the avocado until just before serving.
Combine mango, pineapple, tomatoes, onion, basil, lime juice, jalapeño, and avocado on a baking sheet. Season ingredients with salt and pepper; toss until well mixed. Tossing the guacamole ingredients on a baking sheet keeps them from breaking up. Transfer guacamole to a bowl; set aside until ready to serve Lime-Marinated Flank Steak Tacos.
