Steak House Burritos

Roll grilled steak and Caesar salad into one easy-to-eat wrap for a steak house dinner at a fraction of the price — and the time.

It’s easy to see why wraps have become so popular. They usually have the four food groups all together in one convenient package — perfect for families on the go. Plus they’re infinitely customizable, leaving plenty of room to ensure you never serve the same wrap twice.

So, here’s the menu: Caesar salad with blue cheese, bacon bits, and a grilled steak. You could easily pay $50 for a meal like this at a steak house, but why should you? This dressed-up burrito has it all without the big bucks.

This meal calls for top sirloin. Inexpensive and easy to find in most grocery stores, it’s ideal for a wrap. It may be chewier than pricier steaks, but slicing it thinly against the grain keeps this cut relatively tender.

Test Kitchen Tip

Sirloin covers a huge range of steaks, which can be confusing, but fortunately they all have tons of beefy flavor. For this recipe, go with boneless top sirloin.

Instructions

Preheat grill to high. Brush grill grate with oil.

For the salad, cook bacon in a skillet until crisp. Transfer bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.

Combine romaine, tomatoes, blue cheese, and bacon in a bowl. Toss salad mixture with dressing and chill until ready to use.

For the steak, grill steak, 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove steak from heat, tent with foil, and let rest 5 minutes. While steak rests, grill tortillas until warmed through, about 30 seconds per side.

Slice steak into thin strips and divide evenly among tortillas, arranging down the center. Top steak with ½ cup salad mixture. Roll wraps to enclose, then cut in half on the diagonal.
