Crab Rangoon Soup with water chestnuts

If you can't get enough of the filling in your crab rangoons, this soup is for you. Crab Rangoon Soup does not hold back on the cream cheese! Crabmeat is abundant here, too, and water chestnuts and wonton chips add that irresistible crunchy texture. This soup is a whole new way to celebrate a special occasion.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering; add wonton strips and fry until golden, 12 minutes. Transfer wonton chips to a paper towel-lined plate.

Combine cream cheese, water, coconut milk, lobster base, Worcestershire, soy sauce, onion powder, granulated garlic, and scallion whites in a pot over medium-low heat until cream cheese melts, 10 minutes.

Add crabmeat and water chestnuts. Increase heat to medium; bring soup to a simmer and simmer 3 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.

Top servings with wonton chips, scallion greens, and Cajun seasoning.
