Honey-Thyme Feta with tomatoes & olives

Cheese, glorious cheese, sautéed to perfection. This Honey-Thyme Feta is a surefire crowd-pleaser for all of your holiday celebrations.

Frying the lemon zest imparts subtle lemon flavor to the oil. That oil is then used to sauté the feta, adding wonderful, bright citrus flavor.

Instructions

Whisk together honey, thyme, and pepper.

Place flour, egg wash, and panko into three separate shallow bowls.

Dredge feta in flour, coat with egg wash, then dredge in panko, lightly pressing to adhere.

Sauté zest in oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden, 20–30 seconds. Transfer zest to a paper-towel-lined plate.

Sauté feta in hot lemon oil until golden brown, 35 minutes per side; transfer to a plate and drizzle with desired amount of honey mixture. Top feta with fried zest and additional thyme.

Serve sautéed feta with tomatoes, olives, flatbread, and crackers.
