Gouda Pear Puffs with walnuts and honey
For a sweet and savory small bite that oozes elegance and great taste, meet Gouda Pear Puffs. Purchased puff pastry makes them as simple as can be.
This recipe uses only one sheet (half of a standard 17.3 oz. package) of frozen puff pastry.
Preheat oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Cut puff pastry into 16 squares; arrange on prepared baking sheet.
Combine gouda, pears, walnuts, 2 Tbsp. honey, and Dijon.
Spoon pear mixture using a #60 scoop (heaping 2 tsp.) onto center of each square; brush egg wash around edges of exposed pastry.
Bake puffs until squares are puffed and golden and filling is hot, about 15 minutes. Drizzle puffs with additional honey; season with salt.
