Margherita Crostini with garlic vinaigrette
This side has all the great flavors of the favorite margherita pizza, but it’s easier to make.
Preheat broiler to high with rack 6-inches from element.
Brush both sides of baguette slices with 2 tsp. oil and season with salt and pepper; transfer to a baking sheet and broil until toasted, about 1 minute per side.
Whisk together 1 Tbsp. oil, vinegar, and garlic for the vinaigrette; season with salt and pepper. Toss vinaigrette with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil; divide among baguette slices.
Broil crostini just until cheese begins to bubble, about 1 minute.
