Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

Cut in cold butter until pea-sized; stir in Cheddar and dill. Gently stir in buttermilk, then turn mixture onto a well-floured surface and knead just until dough comes together. Pat dough into a 1-inch-thick circle and cut biscuits with a 2¼-inch round cutter. Transfer biscuits to prepared baking sheet.

Bake biscuits in the upper third of oven until golden, 1315 minutes. Brush tops with melted butter during last few minutes of baking.
