Sweet and Spicy Dipping Sauce
This Sweet and Spicy Dipping Sauce goes nicely with Tempura. Make it ahead so that you can eat as soon as you're done frying.
Simmer vinegar, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until sugars dissolve, 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mash garlic with salt using the side of a chef’s knife until a paste forms.
Off heat, add garlic paste and pepper flakes to vinegar mixture. Transfer sauce to a bowl; cool to room temperature before serving.
