Primavera Pizza with White Sauce
Throw a pizza party just for two when you roll out pies made from a streamlined recipe, loaded with all the fresh vegetables of spring and summer that pair perfectly with a creamy white sauce. Now, that’s amoré!
Preheat oven to 450° with pizza stone on bottom rack.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly add milk, whisking to avoid lumps, then whisk in Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Simmer sauce until thickened, 3–4 minutes, then stir in Parmesan until melted; season with salt and pepper.
To build pizzas, transfer dough rounds to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal. Divide sauce, ½ cup cheese, broccoli, asparagus, edamame, and scallions between dough rounds; top with remaining ¼ cup cheese.
Bake pizzas until crusts are nicely browned, about 10 minutes.
