Instructions

Combine salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder; coat chicken with seasonings.

Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium-high; add chicken and sauté until browned, about 3 minutes per side, then transfer to a plate.

Add orzo to same pan and stir until lightly toasted, 1 minute. Increase heat to high and stir in broth, zest, and lemon juice, scraping up any brown bits. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer orzo, covered, 8 minutes.

Arrange chicken, broccoli, and lemon slices on top of orzo; cover pan and simmer until chicken is cooked through and broccoli is fork-tender, about 12 minutes more. Sprinkle tomatoes on top before serving.
