Club Salad with Mustard Mayonnaise Dressing

Turn the ever popular club sandwich into an incredibly savory and satisfying salad — packed with textures and flavors from two types of meat, cheese, bacony croutons, and a creamy dressing. It’s OK to prepare the ingredients ahead, but wait to build the salad until right before serving.

Instructions

Cook bacon in a nonstick skillet until crisp; transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate and reserve drippings.

Add bread to drippings, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; cook over medium heat until toasted, stirring often, 5 minutes. Transfer croutons to a plate.

For the dressing, whisk together, mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, and vinegar; season with salt and pepper.

Layer a third of the croutons in the bottom of a 3-quart bowl, followed by half the salad greens and cheese, and all of the ham and turkey. Drizzle half of the dressing over the top.

Layer another third of the croutons over dressing and top with remaining greens. Layer bacon, tomatoes, and remaining croutons and cheese on top; drizzle with remaining half of dressing.
