Barbecued Pulled Turkey Sandwiches

Traditional Kansas City-style barbecue sauce is thick, sweet, and tomato-y. Adding vinegar and mustard creates a hybrid of several popular styles.

Instructions

For the coleslaw, whisk together oil, vinegar, mustard, and honey for the vinaigrette.

Toss together coleslaw mix, chives, and vinaigrette.

For the sandwich, whisk together barbecue sauce, vinegar, and mustard; reserve ½ cup sauce. Transfer remaining sauce to a sauté pan and heat over medium. Stir in turkey and cook to heat through, 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper.

Serve pulled turkey on buns topped with sauce and coleslaw.
