Asian Chicken Tacos

Inspired by the Vietnamese sandwich bahn mi, these tacos will have you counting and recounting the number of ingredients because the flavor punch you get with each bite defies the laws of five ingredients.

Garnish: fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and then wrap in foil. Place in oven until warmed, about 15 minutes. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and hoisin sauce; cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 5 minutes. Stir together carrot, chopped cilantro, salt, pepper, and remaining 1½ teaspoons oil in a small bowl. Serve chicken in warmed tortillas with carrot mixture.

Garnish with cilantro leaves, if desired.
