Keep mulled wine warm throughout the evening by transferring it to a small slow cooker set to low, or keep on the stove in a large pot, over low heat. Simply keep a ladle, glasses, and garnishes next to the wine and allow party-goers to refill themselves.


Steep cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and citrus peel in vodka in a large pot over low heat, 10 minutes. Add wine and sugar, and heat 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain out spices and serve warm, garnished with small clusters of grapes and slices of orange.
