Michelada

Drinks

Michelada

A Michelada, which stands for “my cold beer,” is typically thought of as a summer drink, but if you’re a fan of beer and Bloody Marys this beverage can be sipped year-round. This thirst-quencher holds the vodka and lets beer take center stage.

Ingredients

What is Tajin?

Tajin is a chili lime seasoning blend made with mild chili peppers, lime, and sea salt.

Tajin really adds a nice element of flavor to a michelada, but we understand it can be hard to find, or maybe you just don’t like it. Some other good options to rim your glass are Lawry’s Seasoned salt, making your own chili-salt seasoning, or simply enjoying the drink without any.

Instructions

Rub rim of a pint or pilsner glass with a lime wedge, then dip rim into Tajin.

Combine tomato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire, ⅛ tsp. Tajin, and hot sauce in prepared glass. Add ice and top with beer; stir gently to combine.
