Combine salt and cumin on a plate. Rub rims of 6 glasses with lime wedge, then dip into cumin salt; set glasses aside.

Stir together tomato juice, tequila, lime juice, chipotle, Worcestershire, cilantro, onion, and hot sauce in a pitcher. Fill prepared glasses with ice and top with Bloody Maria mixture; garnish with scallions.
