Cherry Milkshakes with Fudge Sauce

No summer is complete without a milkshake. You’ll love every last sip of these cherry shakes with fudge sauce. Cherries have a fleeting season each summer — but no need to worry, because you can use frozen cherries in this milkshake to indulge in this sweet treat year-round.

Instructions

For the fudge sauce, whisk together sugar, cocoa, cream, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until sugar melts and sauce is smooth, then whisk in butter until melted.

Off heat, stir in chocolate until melted, then stir in vanilla.

For the milkshake, blend ice cream, milk, cherries, fudge sauce, and almond extract in a blender on high speed until smooth.

Drizzle bottom and sides of serving glasses with fudge sauce, then pour milkshake into glasses. Top shakes with chocolate shavings and a cherry; serve immediately.
