Ham & Spinach Strata

The holiday is over, your guests have come and gone, but the ham is still hanging around. This Ham Strata is delightful any time of day. Did we mention it’s made the night before for the perfect make-ahead breakfast or brunch recipe.

Instead of using the Milk Bread, you can swap it with King’s Hawaiian bread, Texas toast, or soft Italian bread.

Instructions

Coat a 7×11-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.

Whisk together eggs, half-and-half, mustard, and garlic; season with salt and pepper.

Toss together bread, ham, spinach, 1 cup Parmesan, onion, and bell pepper; transfer to prepared dish.

Pour egg mixture over bread mixture and sprinkle with remaining ½ cup Parmesan. Cover strata with foil and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 375°. Remove strata from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.

Bake strata, covered, 1 hour. Remove foil, and bake strata, uncovered, until browned and a thermometer inserted into center registers 160°, 10 minutes more. Let strata stand 10 minutes before serving.
