German Egg Sandwiches
When you’ve got a hankering for some hearty German food, give this breakfast sandwich a try. Not a breakfast person? These cheesy egg sandwiches on pretzel rolls are perfect any time of day.
Cook patties in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, 3 minutes per side. Transfer patties to a plate. Toast buns, cut sides down, in drippings in skillet, about 2 minutes.
Arrange patties on bottom buns; top each with 1 slice Muenster.
Melt butter in same skillet over medium heat. Add eggs and cook until set, 2–3 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Arrange one-fourth eggs on each sandwich.
Spread cut sides of top buns with spreadable cheese and mustard; arrange on sandwiches.
Let the eggs cook 30 seconds, until the liquid has formed into curds, then push them towards the center.
The garlic and herb cheese adds flavor, but you can substitute with softened cream cheese.
