Bananas Foster Syrup
Breakfast / Brunch
Bananas Foster Syrup
This boozy, spiced syrup is so good you'll find plenty of other things, like ice cream, to drizzle it over. Borrowing from
the iconic New Orleans dessert, it’s full
of banana flavor. But a base of maple
syrup, not sugar, keeps the pancakes
squarely in the breakfast realm.
If you have a sweet tooth, these pancakes are sure to hit the spot.
Balance their sweetness by serving them with sausage or bacon
Instructions
Boil maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, banana liqueur, rum, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat, 3 minutes. Serve syrup with pancakes.
