Instructions

Sauté ginger and scallion whites in sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat, 1 minute.

Add rice and stir to coat, then add water and salt; bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Remove rice from heat; let rest 5 minutes.

Garnish rice with scallion greens and sesame seeds.
