Heat oil in a pot over medium-high. Add poblanos, onion, garlic, chipotle, and chili powder; cook until poblanos and onion soften, about 2 minutes.

Stir in broth, chicken, and 2 cans beans. Coarsely mash remaining 1 can beans; stir into soup.

Bring soup to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.

Stir in cilantro and lime juice; season soup with salt and pepper.
