Marbled Chocolate Bark

Marble bark is the ubiquitous sweet this time of year, but making it in your own kitchen can be especially satisfying — swirling the dark and white chocolate together, then decorating the top with crushed peppermint candies. It’s quick and easy and oh-so good for gifting.

Test Kitchen Tip

To crush candies without the mess, place peppermints into a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or meat mallet.

Instructions

Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment.

Microwave semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on medium power until almost melted, 12 minutes; stir until smooth. Repeat process with white chocolate in a separate bowl.

Spoon chocolate mixtures, alternating semisweet and white chocolate, by heaping ¼ cup measures onto prepared baking sheet; swirl with a butter knife.

Sprinkle almonds and crushed candies over top of chocolate mixture; refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour.

Break bark into pieces; store in an airtight container at room temperature.
