Freezing Fresh Basil
Save your fresh summer basil with a simple and easy-to-do trick that will have you enjoying basil year-round!
After harvesting fresh basil from your garden, freeze some so it’s available after the summer months. Before freezing, wash the leaves, then dry thoroughly and pack into resealable plastic bags. To use frozen basil in a recipe, take out the amount needed and prepare as directed. It saves money, and the basil tastes almost as good as fresh!
